TikTok star Grace Mondlana has found herself in storm of controversy that has the court of public opinon in session.
The drama all began when Mondlana posted a tribute to her ex boyfriend, who died in a car accident. In her tribute videon montage posted on TikTok, Mondlana gave insight into her five year relationship.
Her video has 3.6 million views on TikTok. In her caption Mondlana expressed how she had protected the relationship from the public, oftening going on solo trips but was actually with the boyfriend.
“My varsity sweetheart, we met when I was 18 and he was only 24, shared so many of our firsts together, our first time at the beach, our first jobs and first flights, we did it all together,” wrote the award-winning content creator.
She went on to share how they ended their relationship earlier this year but still kept in touch.
“While we still checked in on each other, we both made the decision to move on and we both ended up finding our own people and cutting ties for good.
“The night before he passed (in a horrible car accident), he sent me a message which was an indirect goodbye mentioning how he is proud of me & that I should continue to take care of myself.”
In one of the pictures, Mondlana shared she is seen at her ex’s funeral which has gotten many weighing over her grieving an ex-boyfriend. As the story continues to unfold, it has come to light that Mondlana financially contributed to the funeral and was involved in the planning of the funeral.
Mondlana being a “chief mourner” at her ex’s funeral has the public court up in arms, with some weighing in on how her ex’s new partner feels.
The moment has even resercuted Mondlana’s fallout with her former friend actress Lerato Nxumalo who is also a creator. Nxumalo posted a meme on her Instagram stories, that read “the results are in you are a clout chaser”.
The meme has many saying that is Nxumalo weighing on Mondlana’s actions. Nxumalo has previously expressed that Mondlana was cosplaying as a nice girl given that she was self-obsessed with comments made by other people about her on social media.
Mondlana has since turned off the comments on her latest TikTok videos.
