Following overwhelming demand for tickets, Tyla will now perform at Pretoria’s SunBet Arena on Friday, January 8, 2027, ahead of her already announced concert on Saturday, January 9.
The new date means Gauteng fans will have two opportunities to experience the global superstar live on home soil when her first full headline tour arrives in South Africa next year.
The January 9 show has also moved from the Nasrec Outdoor Area in Johannesburg to the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, Gauteng’s premier world-class indoor arena, following concerns around possible Highveld thunderstorms, a review of the overall audience experience and requests from fans for a seated concert option.
Local promoters Showtime Management and Anything Goes have secured the new venue, with both Gauteng dates now set to take place at SunBet Arena.
Tygers asked, Tyla listened
Tyla’s South African fanbase, affectionately known as the Tygers, have been calling for another Gauteng show, and the global star has answered.
The singer previously performed to a sold-out crowd at SunBet Arena in 2025, giving fans a taste of the energy they can expect when she returns in January.
This time, however, she will bring new music from her recently released second studio album, “A*POP”, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard US World Albums chart and No. 3 on the UK R&B Albums chart.
Tickets for the new January 8 date and the January 9 venue date are on sale exclusively through Ticketmaster.co.za, with seating tickets starting from R895, excluding the service fee.
Fans who had already purchased tickets for the January 9 Johannesburg show do not need to worry. Their tickets remain secure and have been automatically transferred to SunBet Arena in the same ticket category.

Tyla brings A*POP home
The 34-date A*POP World Tour marks Tyla’s first full headline tour and will take the singer across Europe, the UK and North America, with stops in cities including Toronto and Los Angeles.
Her South African homecoming will feature three concerts on the continent: Cape Town at the Green Point Track on Monday, January 4, 2027, followed by two Gauteng dates at SunBet Arena in Pretoria on Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9.
Cape Town tickets are available via tyla.howler.co.za, while Pretoria tickets are exclusively available through Ticketmaster.co.za.
