Alcohol starts coming ‘into the mix’ – COCT

If you are caught drinking alcohol in public, you won’t only have it be confiscated but you may receive a hefty fine as well. That’s the warning from the City of Cape Town, as the City’s Traffic Services, Law Enforcement and Metro Police Departments crackdown on people drinking in public. Over the past week the City’s enforcement services arrested 343 suspects and issued more than 93,700 fines as officials say its beginning to see a spike in drinking in public as we approach warmer temperatures.
