Research shows that virtual land grabs are taking place in the metaverse. Nearly $2billion has been spent on virtual land over the past 12 months as people spend cryptocurrency toward creating their virtual property portfolio. One luxury brand is said to own a plot about the size of four football pitches, which it hopes will eventually contain a metaverse store and gallery.
