City’s K9’s uncover consignment of cocaine worth R84million
The City of Cape Town says its Metro Police K9’s should be applauded for the work they have done over the past 10months. During that period the canines managed to uncover a cocaine consignment valued at R84million. The City says their dogs undergo specific training, which includes developing a bong with their handler. The dogs are also trained to detect drugs, firearms, ammunition or explosives and finding missing persons.

Its going to be a challenge for Eskom to keep the lights on during the colder winter months. That’s the word from President Cyril Ramaphosa who says with a heightened demand for electricity, it will add more strain on the Eskom grid. This comes off the back of experts warning that loadshedding stages would likely pass stages 9 or 10 during June to August as temperatures plummet.
SA Weather service issues warning over heavy rainfall for parts of the Eastern Cape
The South African Weather Services has issued a warning for disruptive rains that could lead to floods in parts of the country.
An Orange level 6 warning was issued for disruptive rain for the southeastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
The rain is expected to lead to floods in settlements, roads and bridges.
Mother and daughter graduate together
In a beautiful story surrounding the tail end of Mother’s Day a 50 year old woman and her 25 year old daughter recently graduated from the Texas university together. This is the fifth time the mother and daughter pair have completed college programmes together.
