
Actress Connie Ferguson celebrated her late husband, Shona Ferguson, on what would have been his 52nd birthday with a heartfelt video that showed an intimate moment between them. In the video, the two can be seen conversing and sharing jokes.
In her caption, Connie told her late husband that she missed him and that the week had been challenging. “Not sure what’s happening in the galaxies, but wow! It’s been an emotional roller coaster!🥲 The kids and I have been talking a lot about you,” she wrote.
“Honestly, I talk about you to anyone who cares to listen, at every given opportunity!😂 You’re so much a part of me, the fact that it’s almost 5 years since your departure does not even register.”
Shona, an actor, executive producer, and co-founder of Ferguson Films,passed away on July 30, 2021, at the age of 47 due to COVID-19-related complications.
In her caption, Connie detailed how Shona’s memory is still vivid and how she laughs when she thinks of him.
“Your memory is still so vivid! Like all our experiences were recent. I laugh a lot when I think about you. Yes, there are tears sometimes, but laughter is guaranteed! Thank you, Sho, for a love that transcends space and time!🥰 My forever ena!😍 Happy Heavenly Birthday, my KING,” she wrote.
Connie and Shona got married on November 30, 2001, just four months after meeting, and became one of the country’s most celebrated power couples.
Their 20-year union blended their love for each other and the creative economy. Together, they created Ferguson Films, which produced popular shows like “The Queen” and “Kings of Joburg”.
