A man with a stomach for the hot stuff managed to down 10 Carolina reaper chillies in 33,15 seconds to break a world record. The Carolina reaper chillies are said to be the hottest peppers in the world and Gregory Foster set the record previously for downing three of them in under 10 seconds. Foster told Guinness World Records that the good thing about Carolina reaper chillies is that the bad heat doesn’t kick in until about 30 seconds or so.
Cosatu has raised concern around the South African Post Office’s plan which could see up to 6,000 workers lose their jobs. The trade union is now calling on national government to step in and stop the planned retrenchments which the Post Office is blaming on a stagnant economy and a lack of funds.
