Matrics begin their final exams amid rolling blackouts

As the Matric class of 2022 sat for their final examination today, Eskom says examination centres cannot be exempt from load shedding as they are not situated in one central place. There are more than 923,000 learners enrolled for the National Senior Certificate exams. The Basic Education Department has since expressed confidence that end of year exams will be written despite the rolling blackouts.
