Vendors have till Friday to submit docs to trade at the My Cape Town Market Green Point

The City of Cape Town says it is extending the deadline for local vendors to apply for trading bays at the My Cape Town Market which will be taking place in Green Point. Traders now have until close of business on Friday to submit their digital or hard copy application for bays, for the event which will be taking place on Sunday April 30th and Sunday May 7th.

Health Council investigates Dr Nandi, Thabo Bester’s girlfriend 

The HPCSA says it will investigate allegations that Doctor Nandipha Magudumana has been operating with a suspended medical license. According to the HPCSA, Magudumana’s license was suspended in 2021 after failing to pay annual fees. She’s the girlfriend of Thabo Bester.

Tensions brewing in Joburg as political parties prepare for a motion of no confidence against Mayor Thapelo Amad

Political parties have hit out at Joburg Mayor, Thapelo Amad, for making claims about a potential private loan of nine-point-five billion rand to fix the city. Amad made the claims during an interview with SABC News. A motion of no confidence is expected to be debated on April 25th.

Beef prices expected to drop in coming months 

Retail prices for beef could start dropping in the coming months as demand eases.
This is according to the Bureau for Food and Agricultural Policy.
The group says beef carcass prices have started to decline due to consumer spending power being under increasing pressure and exports moving slower than normal.
