City hands over 90 title deeds in Delft housing project
The City of Cape Town sas that it handed over 90 title deeds to beneficiaries of its R13million housing project in Delft. Mayco Member for Human Settlements Malusa Booi says the City wishes the new home owners well in the next chapter in their new homes. The project is set to provide affordable housing opportunities to 2,400 residents.
Roadworks continue in Philippi, Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha till mid-March
The City of Cape Town recently commenced with the rehabilitation of sections of roads in Philippi, Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha. The work includes the resurfacing, rehabilitation and road marking of Sheffield Road, Mew Way, Highlands Drive and Spine Road. Residents can expect the work to continue until mid-March

Diary of a Wimpy Kid banned in Tanzania
The Tanzanian government has banned a popular series of children’s books from schools in the conservative East African country, claiming they violate local cultural norms. Education Minister Adolf Mkenda announced an immediate ban on The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, and said the government was monitoring libraries in both public and private schools to make sure they were not on their shelves.
