CT Summer Market is back
Following a two-year break, the Cape Town Summer Market is back at the Company’s Garden and will be bigger and better than ever. The market kicks off on Friday, and will run until next Tuesday. This year, the City further boosted support for traders at the market by funding training for them, which was administered by the Craft and Design InstitutePatrons are spoilt for choice this year with over 150 stalls selling a range of crafts, foods, toys, novelties, and clothing. It will also feature a host of fun activities, including dancers and the ever-popular singing competition, the Summer Star.
Latest Netball World Cup mural unveiled
The City has unveiled the latest Netball World Cup 2023 legacy mural at the Wesfleurs Sports Complex. This is the sixth mural commissioned by the City of Cape Town in the build up to July’s World Cup.
The newest addition to the Netball World Cup 2023 mural legacy programme adorns the wall of the swimming pool at the Atlantis-based sports complex.
Huge petrol price drop for New Year- Central Energy Fund
Motorists could see a huge drop in petrol and diesel prices in January.
This is according to the Central Energy Fund’s latest data.
Petrol is anticipated to decrease by over one-rand-50 cents, while diesel could decrease by a much larger three-rand-50 cents.
Business Tech reports this is due to a big drop in global oil prices and a relatively stronger rand.

Woman breaks record by pulling on 19 pairs of panties in 30 seconds
A U.S. woman living in Ireland broke a Guinness World Record by pulling on 19 pairs of underpants in 30 seconds.
Rachael Schmitt, who moved to Dublin earlier this year, said she decided to take on the record for most underpants pulled on in 30 seconds because it reminded her of making costume quick-changes while performing in theatre productions. Schmitt was able to don 19 pairs of panties in the allotted time, beating the record of 17, which was set in Japan.
