More than 900,000 matriculants are waiting anxiously to receive their results this week. The South African Democratic Teachers Union (Sadtu) is now calling on parents and community members to give support to learners who are waiting to receive their results. The results are expected to be released on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.

At least three people died in the infernos and 2,000 others lost their homes.
Fires recently broke out at informal settlements in Masiphumelele, Dunoon, Philippi and Khayelitsha.
Expect a dramatic rise in municipal debt – Salga
The South African Local Government Association (Salga) commented on the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa)’s tariff hike approval.
The energy regulator on Thursday granted Eskom an 18-point-65 percent tariff increase for the upcoming financial year effective from April 1st.
Salga says it expects a dramatic rise in municipal debt.
Man flips his car inside a car wash, trapping him inside
Photos have emerged showing how a 77 year old man from Pennsylvania flipped his car over while in a car wash, trapping himself inside. The man is said to have being paying for a car wash inside his vehicle when he accidentally stepped on the accelerator. It took emergency services roughly an hour and a half to remove the man from the car, which is now a right-off as crews had to remove the roof of the vehicle to remove him.
