Rooftop farm at shopping centre aims to inspire and uplift youth
A rooftop farm at Kenilworth Centre is hoping to inspire youth to start-up their own urban farms to generate an income from selling produce. The HandPicked CityFarm launched at the shopping centre last week, and is running a skills development programme as part of its initiative. The farms use African Growers, which is essentially a vertical system in which growing pods are stacked on top of each other, using less land space. The pods are also pest-resilient.
President Ramaphosa to deliver keynote address at Green Hydrogen Summit in Cape Town
This year the Green Hydrogen Summit which is being held in Cape Town till Wednesday is focussing on bringing together role players such as project sponsors, decision makers in government, financing institutions and international authorities, as well as various other role players, to help South Africa draw lessons from the international community to build an economy around green hydrogen and decarbonisation. During the event President Cyril Ramaphosa is also expected to deliver a keynote address tomorrow, with one of the highlights of the summit being South Africa’s emergence as a potential global exporter of green energy with major investment support from Sasol and Anglo-American boosting the country’s green hydrogen projects.
Uber Eats in SA to soon launch rewards programme for drivers
Uber Eats in South Africa will soon launch a new reward programme for its delivery drivers, where points to unlock benefits are earned by maintaining satisfaction ratings from both restaurants and customers.
Delivering during peak hours will also help. Nearly 60% of participating delivery people expressed their desire to be part of a programme that rewards positive behaviour and good service.

A self-described time traveler who believes they have gone to the future claims they have pictures to prove it.
The TikToker who calls himself “Agent Loka 77” says he has been to the year 3002 and has warned there is a major event next month.
On his page, he makes claims about the future including huge financial changes in December this year.
