The Western Cape Mobility Department says that motorists have until tomorrow to have their vehicles tested in their Vehicle Fitness Testing Centre at the Gene Louw Traffic College in Brackenfell, especially ahead of the Easter long weekend when many will be driving out for the Easter break. Meanwhile SANTACO Western Cape chairperson Mandla Hermanus has committed to working with the Mobility department and the provincial traffic authorities to ensure road safety over the long weekend.

Drunken driving arrests increases over the past week
The City of Cape Town says law enforcement departments have made more than 270 arrests over the past week. The City says drunken driving arrests have increased from 54 in the previous week to 60.
England looks to banning wet wipes
England is looking to ban the use of all wet wipes by next year, under plans to tackle water pollution. The British government has heard that wet wipes flushed down toilets cause about 93% of sewer blockages.
