Sailors have turned to heavy metal music in Portugal and Spain as a means to ward off killer whales from attacking their boats. This comes as killer whales are menacing around the boats, with the recent incident seeing one orca sinking a sailing yacht. But believe it or not but the heavy metal music doesn’t really help in warding off the killer whales, with marine experts saying that playing the music under water will only harm the orcas and other ocean life. One expert however says the best way to escape a killer whale attack is to get into a fight and flight mode and to flee the area quickly.
