South African buys NY townhouse for over a R1billion

A South African has bought a townhouse for just over a R1billion in New York which they viewed over FaceTime. The property was initially listed at below R1 billion, but additional renovations and furnishings brought it up to more than that. The property sits in the same neighbourhood where Drew Barrymore and Samuel L Jackson are residents, in close proximity to Central Park and upmarket boutiques.
