Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is in Pretoria for his official state visit to South Africa. Sanchez is accompanied with the Spanish Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism and a business delegation. This visit will highlight the existing cooperation between the two countries and will focus on the implementation of agreements intended to benefit the citizens of both countries.
The SA government says law enforcement agencies will continue to monitor for any threats to the people of the country and sovereignty. This comes after the US Embassy issued a terror alert for a possible terrorist attack for the Sandton area this weekend. The government says that threats are assessed continuously and are acted upon to ensure the safety of all.
