Total lunar eclipse spotted in Australia and New Zealand

Social media users in parts of Australia and New Zealand have posted spectacular images online as they were able to catch a total lunar eclipse last night, an opportunity which won’t be visible from the region until at least 2025. In last nights eclipse the moon was fully immersed in shadow which lasted for just over 80minutes. Some out to view the eclipse were also able to see Uranus appear near the moon, which could be seen with a binoculars as the moons light didn’t interfere with the sighting.
