The famously private Venus Williams has just given the world a beautiful, intimate look into her engagement.
After confirming the happy news back in July, the tennis legend thrilled fans by dropping a carousel of never-before-seen engagement portraits of herself and Andrea Preti on Instagram, simply captioned with the official date, “Engaged 1/31/25.”
The post gives fans a rare glimpse into the personal life of the star tennis player.
The newly released photos are a Vogue-worthy moment, capturing Williams and her fiancé in a lush, romantic, garden-like setting, looking utterly in love and relaxed.
The crisp white Prada halter dress perfectly complements her sophisticated style.
The images radiate quiet happiness, a beautiful contrast to the intensity she shows on the court.
Perhaps the most heartwarming inclusion in the set is a picture of the couple smiling happily alongside Williams’s beloved dog, Harry.
Harry, who turned 18 this year, is essentially family, and his inclusion in the shoot adds a touching, personal layer to the announcement, confirming that this engagement is a celebration of their whole little unit.
For a star who has always guarded her privacy, these stunning images speak volumes about the happiness she has found in this new chapter.
Venus Williams and Andrea Preti announced their engagement in July.
Preti, a 37-year-old Italian-Danish actor, producer, and former model, is the one who encouraged her to keep playing the sport she loves.
He is a true multi-hyphenate in the entertainment world, which may explain why he and the business-savvy athlete found such a strong connection.
The Denmark-born former model’s artistic résumé includes writing, directing, and starring in films like the 2014 indie drama “One More Day.”
He has also appeared in Italian productions such as the TV series “A Professor” and the 2023 drama “Temptation.”
During the public confirmation of her engagement in July, Venus was positively glowing while speaking about her fiancé, revealing that he was instrumental in her continued comeback on the court, telling reporters, “My fiancé is here, and he really encouraged me to keep playing.”
While the couple have kept their relationship largely private, public sightings tell a sweet story of a quick connection.
The romance first sparked in July 2024, when they were spotted together enjoying a boat trip in Italy.
Speculation about their engagement went into overdrive after Williams was seen wearing a diamond ring at a fashion event in Milan in February 2025.
Finally, after months of quiet enjoyment, Venus put all rumours to rest in July 2025 during a post-match interview.
Before finding love with Preti, she had a few high-profile relationships.
She was in a long-term, serious relationship with former professional golfer Hank Kuehne from approximately 2007 to 2010.
Following that, she dated Cuban model Elio Pis for several years, often collaborating with him as he modelled for her EleVen clothing line.
Williams has yet to reveal a wedding date.
