Its yet another day of powercuts as Eskom struggles to keep the lights on. For Eskom customers stage 2 loadshedding is in effect since 5am this morning, while there is some relief for City of Cape Town customers as power cuts will only be implemented from 4pm this afternoon. New research from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research shows that this year is exceeding last year as the year with the most frequent power cuts by 228 percent.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has sent his message of condolences to the people of South Korea after hundreds of people died in a stamped at a Halloween event at the weekend. President Ramaphosa said the people of South Africa will join the people of South Korea in mourning the lives lost in the tragic incident. He also wished all those injured a speedy recovery.
