The City’s R4,7billion assistance campaign will be coming to Langa this week. On Thursday the 27th of October residents who may need financial assistance in paying their municipal accounts will be able to apply for relief. The City is urging all residents across the Cape to apply for indigent benefits and rates relief in their campaign drive.
As the Matric class of 2022 sat for their final examination today, Eskom says examination centres cannot be exempt from load shedding as they are not situated in one central place. There are more than 923,000 learners enrolled for the National Senior Certificate exams. The Basic Education Department has since expressed confidence that end of year exams will be written despite the rolling blackouts.
