Gorilla born at zoo in Texas

A zoo in Texas has announced the birth of a western lowland gorilla, the second member of his species to ever be born at the facility. The zoo said in a Facebook post that the male gorilla was born to mother Gracie and father Elmo. There are around 100,000 western lowland gorilla’s left in the world.

Over 6,9k Rubiks cubes solved in 24 hours

A 20 year old has broken a world record for solving 6,931 Rubik’s cubes in 24 hours. George Scholey took on the attempt to coincide with the Guinness World Records Day, breaking the record of 5,800 cubes solved set by a Canadian in 2013. Scholey is the reigning cubing champion in Britain and is ranked as one of the top-rated speedcubers in the world by the World Cube Association.
