NASA releases images of the ‘smiling’ sun

In a creepy, yet strange sounding release, NASA says the sun was caught smiling in a new image the space agency made public. The holes which make what appears to be the smiley face on the suns surface are known as coronal holes. These darkened areas on the sun are said to occur at any time but can’t be seen by the naked eye or a home telescope as they are only visible in ultraviolet and x-ray light. Who would’ve thought the teletubbies were onto something with their smiling sun in the sky on every episode.
