WATCH: Lamola briefs the media on international developments and migration crisis

The Minister of International Relations and Co-operation, Ronald Lamola, is currently addressing the media on current developments relating to South Africa’s foreign policy priorities and programmes, and the ongoing protests targeting illegal foreign nationals in the country.

He is providing updates on the engagements with the African Union (AU) and final preparations for the 46th SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government, which is scheduled for August 16-17, 2026 in Durban. 

Lamola is also providing updates on how the government is addressing the crisis of immigration in the country, amid ongoing protests targeting undocumented foreign nationals.
