Premier Alan Winde asks Treasury for over R1b to help the poor with the energy crisis
Western Cape Premier Alan Winde says his government can finally get to work dealing with South Africa’s unfolding electricity crisis now that the regulations for the national state of disaster over energy have been published. Winde says he’s asking Treasury for over R1-billion to help the poorest of the poor cope with the energy crisis.
Ruben Richards re-elected mayor of Cederberg Municipality
Cederberg Municipality has re-elected Ruben Richards as its mayor. The re-election follows recent by-election victories in the municipality for the DA and Cederberg First. DA leader in Cederberg, Andricus van der Westhuizen, says Richards’s re-election will restore order in the municipality.
Another case of cholera puts total at 6 cases reported in SA
South Africa has registered one more laboratory-confirmed case of cholera, bringing the total to six. The Department of Health says the latest patient is a 19-year-old female. One person in the country has died from the disease.
13 year old builds her dream tiny house
A 13 year old girl in Hungary is said to have worked with her father to create her dream aeroplane tiny house. The father said he was a bit hesitant at first but saw that his daughter had a dream and together they approached a design firm which helped them turn the dream into a reality. The make the Jet House seem more lifelike it is elevated on stilts, like how real planes are raised off the ground on wheels.
